Actuarial Summer Internship (July 2026)

Location: London- Hybrid min 50% office based

Contract: 8 week contract

Hours: Full time- 35 hours

Ready to kick‑start your actuarial career and gain hands‑on experience in a real investment and risk environment? Join us this summer for an 8‑week internship where you’ll work alongside actuaries, analysts, and investment specialists who are shaping the future of our business.

As an Actuarial Intern, you’ll be part of our Group Capital Management & Investment team, helping support the work that keeps our business financially strong and forward‑looking.

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain exposure to actuarial work, investment processes, and the inner workings of a financial services organisation

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with actuaries, analysts, and investment professionals on real business tasks.

  • Support credit risk analysis and learn how we assess the financial strength of companies and assets.

  • Help maintain and organise key records and reports.

  • Contribute to the documentation of analysis and findings used by senior stakeholders.

  • Get involved with ad hoc projects where your curiosity and problem‑solving skills can shine, such as deploying AI in the work environment

Skills & Experience

  • Must be numerate, ideally with an A level in maths or a strongly numerical-based subject (Physics, Economics, Actuarial etc)

  • Experience or qualifications in Excel and/or other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good IT skills are necessary, in particular in relation to use, and some development, of spreadsheets

  • Good communication skills, oral and written.

  • Well organised, with the ability to develop and document administrative processes.

  • Have the ability to develop good product knowledge and understanding as experience develops.
