Business Analyst - Defined Benefit

Location: London – hybrid 50%

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 35 hours

Purpose

The Business Analyst will lead analysis activities to design and deliver effective solutions to key business needs. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll define requirements, evaluate solution options, and support end-to-end delivery. You’ll also coach others in problem-solving and process improvement, applying agile methods and best practices to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Key Accountabilities (not limited to the following):

  • Lead business analysis to deliver impactful solutions that drive real value.

  • Analyse complex needs and collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritise outcomes.

  • Partner with Product Owners, SMEs, and delivery teams to design practical, innovative solutions.

  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to guide smart decisions and highlight key impacts.

  • Identify risks and support smooth implementation of change initiatives.

  • Mentor and coach teams to strengthen analytical, problem-solving, and design skills.

  • Champion best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes across projects.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Strong, proven experience in Financial Services, especially pensions, with Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPA) or Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) knowledge.

  • Thinks strategically and analytically to balance priorities and long-term goals.

  • Solves complex problems with structured, practical solutions.

  • Experienced in Agile business analysis, solution design, and risk management.

  • Leverages data to inform decisions and drive innovation.

  • Communicates clearly and influences stakeholders at all levels.

  • Delivery-focused and collaborative, mentoring teams and supporting continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Business Analysis qualification/certification

  • Product owner, project and change management related professional qualifications
