Finance Operations Assistant

Location: London

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Operations team in delivering a comprehensive range of finance administration services across the Just Group. This includes ensuring customers and suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and that all incoming funds are recorded and allocated correctly against the appropriate products or services.

The role requires strong collaboration and effective communication with colleagues across the finance function and the wider business to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliations 

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Payments Processing via Swift, BACS & Faster Payments

  • Daily Matching & allocation of funds received

  • Journal entry into General Ledger

  • Respond to internal and external finance queries

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team

  • Provide support to Internal and External Auditors 

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in finance operations, including exposure to cash management and bank reconciliations

  • Previous accounts experience (e.g. accounts payable, receivable, or general ledger) is advantageous

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyse data effectively

  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
