Purpose:
As a Product Owner, you’ll play an important role in shaping intuitive, engaging, and human-centric digital experiences. You will focus on creating an innovative experience that helps customers bring their ideas to life, find inspiration, and create real, actionable plans for their future.
You’ll collaborate closely within the product team and with developers, and content teams to design features that simplify complex topics, guiding users from uncertainty to clarity whilst inspiring, motivating and enabling customers to build the retirement that they want.
Job Role Accountabilities:
- Drive forwards the vision & roadmap, ensuring it meets customer needs and drives high engagement.
- Work collaboratively with designers, developers, content creators, and behavioural experts to build a highly interactive and inspiring product experience.
- Develop and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items, prioritising features that deliver maximum customer value.
- Champion customer insights, using data and research to continuously refine the product.
- Collaborate with marketing and engagement teams to drive adoption and usage.
- Experiment with AI-driven tools, gamification, and social features to enhance engagement.
- Ensure a seamless integration with other key propositions, such as financial planning and the ability for customers to execute on their plans.
Skills and Knowledge
- Resilient and able to adapt, working hands-on when required
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills (i.e. written, verbal & visualisation)
- Pro-active and dynamic within their approach to assigned work
- Ability to plan, manage & prioritise own workload, e.g. personal planning, organisations
- Ability to multi-task whilst having the persistence to see a job through to conclusion
Experience
- Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally within a digital consumer product.
- A deep understanding of customer engagement and experience design - you know how to inspire, motivate, and drive action.
- Proven experience taking digital products from concept (0) to launch (1), including defining MVPs, validating assumptions, and iterating based on user feedback.
- Strong UX and digital storytelling skills - you can shape intuitive, beautiful, and compelling customer journeys.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
